MCC Reach

MCC listens and responds to the needs of our community through partnerships. For us that partnership looks like; informing about, giving to and serving alongside those partners.

Informing - MCC reach wants each person in our church family to feel connected to our community partners. We do this by sharing a community partner spotlight in our newsletter, hosting projects with our partners, and by inviting guest speakers representing our partnerships.

Reach hopes to connect our church family to these partners and release each person to enter into a regular rhythm of love as service in both their personal and shared communities.

Serving - MCC Reach disrupts our more regular church programming every 5th Sunday. Rather than gathering for a worship service, we form groups and intentionally pursue projects in partnership with our partners. While there are other ways we seek to serve alongside our community partners, 5th Sundays are our main focus.

Giving - MCC reach wants to create opportunities for our church family and individual people and families to practice generosity that goes beyond our church. Reach designates part of its ministry budget to give directly to our community partnerships. In addition to giving out of the Reach budget, Reach creates opportunities for our church family to contribute above and beyond our regular giving by creating opportunities to support our community partners by giving both resources and funds.
