☀️ Outdoor Worship Is Back! 🌳

Can you believe summer is almost here? We’re excited to head back outside for worship at the Trails and Trees Environmental Center beginning Sunday, May 24!

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, we’ll gather for worship each Sunday at 9:30 AM surrounded by God’s beautiful creation. Bring your coffee, a chair, and come ready to worship under the trees! We’ll meet rain or shine—if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move indoors to the Environmental Center building.

We also have a fun schedule shift coming up as we move into summer:

🌿 May 24 — Our first outdoor worship service at Trails and Trees
🤝 May 31 — Reach Sunday, where we’ll head out in teams to serve throughout our community instead of gathering in one location
☀️ June 7 onward — Back to Trails and Trees for the rest of the summer!

So think of it like this: one week outside, one week serving, then back together outdoors all summer long. We’re really looking forward to this season together!

📍 Parking Information:
Please park in the Mechanicsburg Middle School lot, on the left side of the building, and follow the walking path to the pavilion.

There are about 10 accessible parking spots available at Trails and Trees (1731 S. York St.) for those with physical limitations. If you’re able, please help us reserve those spaces for those who truly need them.

Annual Picnic and Business Meeting

We hope you’ll plan to join us for our Church Picnic & Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 28, immediately following worship at the Trails & Trees Environmental Center.

We’ll kick things off with a taco bar lunch and would love your help rounding out the meal. Be sure to sign up to bring taco fixins, drinks, or dessert.

After lunch, we’ll move into our Annual Meeting as we reflect on the past year and look ahead together as a church family. It’s a meaningful opportunity to stay informed, celebrate what God has been doing, and engage in where we’re heading together. Everyone is welcome to attend, though only church members will be able to vote.

MCC Volunteers

We just want to take a moment to say thank you. The way you serve, show up, and care for others makes such a difference—you are a true gift to our church.

As we look ahead to the next ministry year (September 2026–August 2027), we’re asking everyone to prayerfully consider where God may be leading you. Is He inviting you to continue where you are, or might He be nudging you toward something new?

To help us plan well and care for each ministry, we’d love for you to let us know your intentions by filling out this short form by the end of June.

Thank you again for all the ways you serve—we’re so grateful to be in this together.

Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program

It has long been the mission of MCC to be a people who reach into the community and serve our neighbors. We have done this through our Reach Sundays and a variety of other ways. It has also been a dream of many within MCC to host a Summer Reading Program as another way of reaching into our community.

This July 14–16, from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., we have an incredible opportunity to continue to do this in a unique way that will reach many families within our community through the Joy of Discovery through Books: a center-based, hands-on reading camp for children in grades K through third grade.

We will be partnering with Operation Wildcat (one of our community partners), who has graciously donated the books we will use, as well as with Christian World Services (another community partner of MCC), who have deep connections with children from the community. Along with other volunteers from the community, our hope is to build relationships through a fun, interactive reading program for children in grades K–3.

Please partner with us and pray for this initiative, for the children and families who will participate, for the volunteers, and for the love of Jesus to be made known and experienced.

If you would like further information about the Summer Reading Program, you can contact Michelle Victor at or Pastor Cheryl.
